Is Rand Paul right?

The writer is stunned. What is stunning is the lack of understanding between private and public. Public property is held in common and should never be allowed to discriminate. Private property must be allowed to discriminate. When people are not allowed to do stupid things with their own property it is no longer their property.

Rand is clear. He abhors racism. No discrimination should be allowed in public domains.

What the writer fails to understand is liberty only exists when you do not use force against the stupid. The marketplace will remedy this problem without need for government force.

Update: Do the owners arguments matter? How is it anybodies business other than the owners how they handle discounts? Next stop... thought police.

If somebody discriminates for stupid reasons they are doing the community a favor. All like minded idiots are identified when they go to that business. Aren't those opposing 'discrimination' discriminating themselves? They don't like that owners religious preferences. Should they sue them for the over 65 discount? Why not?

Update: How words affect the ability to perceive.
